Patrick Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund
In recognition of Patrick’s extraordinary impact on ourselves and this community as a whole, we are proud to announce the establishment of the Patrick Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship is more than just financial aid; it is a tribute to the values that Patrick held dear.
Patrick knew that higher education was not promised to him, he would have to endure struggle and hardship to achieve his goals and to make a better life for himself and for his mother. Diligently he strove to accomplish his goals. Despite each setback he faced over his years in pursuit of his degree, he kept moving forward.
Through working multiple jobs and or taking time off for his family, he stayed committed. No matter how long it took, he would see the mountain top.
At his heart, Patrick was a protector and an advocate for those who could not see the strength in themselves. So, with that, we feel comfortable in saying that Patrick would not have wanted for any student to be hindered by any roadblock on the way to attaining their own goals.
With integrity and perseverance, Patrick believed deeply in the power of education to transform lives, and it is our hope that through this scholarship, we can extend that belief to future students.
By supporting these students, we are not only helping them achieve their dreams, but we are also ensuring that Patrick’s spirit and passion continue to inspire a legacy of greatness that he would admire. It is a way for us to keep his memory alive in the hearts of those who receive this scholarship and in the lives they go on to touch.
We can think of no better way to keep his memory flourishing than providing a great sense of belief and encouragement to a young person in need, as he did for so many of us.
We ask that you join us in this effort, whether through donations, spreading the word, or simply keeping the recipients in your thoughts as they embark on their educational journeys. Together, we can ensure that Patrick’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for others endures.
For no one lights a lamp and then covers it up. Instead, we place it on a stand so that those who come in can see the light and follow.
Thank you,
