Shannon Mahr

Shannon, a native of Montgomery, AL is a dancer and choreographer.  Shannon holds her BA in Dance from the University of Alabama. She began her training in ballet at the age of three at Alabama Dance Theatre. She has studied at numerous ballet companies including Alabama Ballet and Atlanta Ballet. Shannon has also had extensive training in other styles of dance: modern, jazz, contemporary, and stepping. She was a member of the professional dance company Arova Contemporary Ballet. Shannon has been a teaching artist with Performing Arts Institute under the direction of Jackie Lockhart. Shannon is currently an active member of the Gradient Dance Community. When she isn’t dancing or teaching, she is on the go with her husband and children.
