GEAR UP Jefferson County has partnered with the University of Montevallo and Lawson State Community College to offer scholars an immersive educational experience to fit their college needs at no cost. This summer, GU-JC is providing college options to meet the needs of our students.
Earn college credits on the TRAC2 that best suites your needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Rising senior
- High school and college (if applicable) transcripts
- Letter of recommendation
- Residential – University of Montevallo
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.0
- If you plan to register for a math or English course, a required assessment to determine course placement
- Non-Residential – Lawson State Community College
- Minimum high school GPA of 2.5
- If you plan to register for a math or English course, a required assessment to determine course placement
- Approval of your high school counselor
