Dr. Alice Henton
Dr. Alice Henton is an assistant professor and clinical supervisor in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. She recently joined the faculty in 2021.
Dr. Henton completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis on Pharmacognosy in 1998 from the University of Mississippi. She received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Mississippi in 2000. After completing her Master of Science, Dr. Henton went on to achieve her SLP.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2018. Her research interests are in audiological rehabilitation.
Dr. Henton holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Dr. Henton is also a member of multiple ASHA special interest groups, the Alexander Graham Bell Association, and the National Academy of Practice.
Dr. Henton teaches classes in Speech Science, Audiology, Aural Rehabilitation, Anatomy and Physiology, Motor Speech Disorders, and Craniofacial Diagnoses and Syndromes at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
