Dr. Andrea Eckelman is an associate professor of Political Science, joining the faculty in 2016. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Houston.
Dr. Eckelman teaches American National Government, State and Local Government, Public Policy, Public Administration, Identity Politics, Gender in World Politics, Women in Politics, and Morality Politics. Her research interests include health care politics and policy, identity politics, gender politics and policy, the legislative process, and social policies.
